Melville Street (Mews House)

This Mews property was behind a full townhouse office renovation completed by ECPM. Having previously been a small office space, the client wanted to change the use of this Mews and carport to two small residential flats. We arranged a full roof replacement of the magnificent period accurate lead roof and worked with the architect to achieve Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for two flats that could combine into a single living space as required.

The change of use from commercial to residential allowed EPM to undertake this project with 5% VAT for all construction works and permanent fittings. All walls were fully insulated, new insulated floor was installed and new double-glazing windows as well as a complete electrical, plumbing and heating replacement. This included arranging a separate new domestic electrical supply to the property, where previously it had been tied to the main office.
